The June release brings DXtrade’s intraday margin metrics in line with FINRA Rule 4210 and adds a Net Liq Excess metric with a full liquidation trigger. Traders now get Risk and Danger warnings before an account reaches a margin call.
Benefits for brokers
Support for FINRA’s new intraday margin rules
DXtrade’s intraday margin metrics now follow FINRA’s new intraday margin rules under Rule 4210, so brokers can run intraday margin in line with the updated requirements. The release adds a dedicated Intraday Margin Rate and updates the calculation logic for key account metrics.
Net Liq Excess and a full liquidation trigger
A new account metric, Net Liq Excess, gives brokers an associated full liquidation trigger that covers all positions in the account. Traders receive an alert when their net liquidation value is no longer enough to cover the initial margin requirement.
Benefits for traders
Risk and Danger warnings before a margin call
Traders now receive Risk and Danger warnings, two levels that come before the Margin Call level. The warnings cover five risk controls: Minimum Equity, Maintenance Excess, Minimum Net Liquidation, Minimum Equity-to-Margin, and Max Total Loss, Day. Each warning prompts the trader to deposit funds or close positions before a margin call and automatic liquidation.
